General Information

Payment

We accept payment by Visa, Mastercard, Eurocard as well as most debit cards.

Please ensure that the card number is inserted together with the 'valid from date', 'expiry date', 'billing address' and the last three numbers on the strip on the back of your card. For Maestro, Electron, Delta, Solo and any other debit cards, please enter the issue number.

We also accept payment by cheque, payable to 'Eton Vintners'. Please ensure that you write on the back of the cheque, your cheque guarantee card number with your name and address. Please bear in mind that cheques must be cleared before despatch.

When inserting billing details you must include the Postcode and Daytime Telephone Number. If your daytime phone number is a mobile/cell phone number, please insert your home phone number (Due to banking regulations, without your landline number, we are will be unable to process your order).

All goods must be made paid in full prior to delivery.

Prices and Contents

A full list of contents is shown in the website. Eton Vintners reserve the right to substitute any item and guarantee that all replacements are of equal or greater value in the event of supply difficulties. All prices include VAT where applicable and duty charged at the rates prevailing at time of going of publication.

Eton Vintners also reserve the right to change the vintage due to unforeseen unavailability.

Cancellations

Customers wishing to cancel or alter orders can do so within 12 hours of the order being placed. Eton Vintners cannot accept cancellations after this period.

Delivery Information

Please note that bulk deliveries to a single destination may attract reduced charges.

We do not ship to a PO Box or BFBO addresses.

We do not ship to the USA, Canada and Middle East.

We deliver between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. We do not deliver on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays and a precise time of delivery cannot be guaranteed.
We will endeavour to deliver gifts or wine and will leave a card if you or the recipient are not in. We would request that you or the recipient calls immediately to arrange delivery. The goods will be held at the depot for 7 days and then will be returned to Eton Vintners at an additional charge of £30.00.

If you are not sure that the recipient will be at the ‘home address’ during these hours, it would be advisable to insert a ‘work address’ and contact telephone number to ensure a prompt delivery.

Please note that deliveries will not be left without a signature at the indicated address and owing to the high value of the gifts, we are unable to leave the goods in a garage, porch or with a neighbour.

If you wish for the consignment to be re-routed due to incorrect or change of address, there will be an additional charge of £30.00.

Loss or Damage

In the unfortunate event that a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, please contact us on:

All goods should be examined upon arrival. Otherwise, customers are requested to sign 'Not examined'. Any loss or damage must be reported within 24 hours.

Perishable Goods

Please note that gift boxes containing perishable products should be unpacked upon receipt and refrigerated.

Christmas Delivery

Please bear in mind that during the month of December, we are unable to specify an exact delivery date.

Please try to order early for maximum choice and to avoid disappointment. All hampers and gift boxes are subject to availability.

We guarantee Christmas deliveries for all orders if someone is available to receive the gifts up to the following dates:

Overseas Delivery

Please note there are now customs restrictions in most countries on wicker hampers and baskets. Therefore, we provide the same product in a gift box at a reduced price which is ideal for long haul deliveries.

Eton Vintners cannot be held responsible should local customs authorities wish to confiscate any particular item or charge an import duty.

Deliveries are made within 7 working days.

Due to the recent foot and mouth epidemic, some countries have imposed restrictions in the importation of meat and dairy products. Eton Vintners undertakes to replace these items with goods of an equal or greater value.

Licensing Act

Please note, by law, hampers containing alcohol are only available for order by customers who are aged 18 or over.
