Gevrey Chambertin, Domaine Georges Lignier et Fils, Burgundy 2017 75cl
The Lignier Gevrey has a deep colour, with an intense nose, of blackcurrant and small red and black fruits. When ageing, we get some animal and musky aromas. Powerful and rich in the mouth, reflecting the high average age of the vines, it presents a delicious equilibrium with balanced fruit, acidity and tannins. A wonderfully expressive wine.

Pinot Noir
Champagne and Burgundy’s is the best region for Pinot Noir followed by New Zealand and Oregon. California, South Africa and Australia are making some great Pinot Noirs as well not forgetting Canada. Pinot Noir makes a noticeably pale wine, but has intense perfume and flavour. When young, its aromas range from freshly crushed raspberries or strawberries to plum jam. With age, Pinot Noir often shows violets, game or truffles.
