The iconic Vina Errazuriz dates back to the 1870s and was founded by a scion of one of the country’s most important families. This Chilean Pinot comes from the Aconcagua region near the Pacific Ocean, where the sea breezes help to keep the vines cool. The result is an intense and complex wine, with hints of violets and red roses, layered with notes of raspberries and spices and a soft touch of delicate smoke. The palate is dominated by fresh red fruits with soft balsamic tones and round tannins. Very smooth on the finish. Totally quaffable and a great wine for sharing.

Pinot Noir

Champagne and Burgundy are the best regions for Pinot Noir followed by New Zealand and Oregon. California, South Africa and Australia are making some great Pinot Noirs as well not forgetting Canada. Pinot Noir makes a noticeably pale wine, but has intense perfume and flavour. When young, its aromas range from freshly crushed raspberries or strawberries to plum jam. With age, Pinot Noir often shows violets, game or truffles.
