(V) and (VG) Quincy is classic, benchmark Sauvignon Blanc from the first appellation contrôlée of the Loire Valley and makes a fabulous zingy alternative to its more famous sister, Sancerre. A skilful blend from various terroirs and vines of various ages, the result is delicious, mineral, light, yellow and fresh. Vibrant aromatic perfumes of gooseberry and herbaceous notes which develop into a more tropical bouquet. The palate is zesty and fresh with the characteristic balance of ripe fruit and fresh acidity. Good with asparagus, smoked salmon and shellfish. A definite crowd pleaser.

Sauvignon Blanc
Few white grapes are as universally recognisable. While most are content to aim for no more than citrusy simplicity, Sauvignon Blanc is irrepressible. Its intensely green verve, tart fruit and racy acidity have driven plantings in nearly every cool grape-growing region on the globe. Though the south west of France and the more northern Loire Valley both claimed it as their own for many years, it has in the last generation found a new spiritual home in Marlborough, on New Zealand‘s South Island.
