Notes of ripe cherries, cooked plums with hints of chocolate and vanilla on the finish. A well structured wine with ripe fruit nuances, a warm and velvety texture that finishes with a touch of sweetness typical of the Primitivo grape.

More Information

Primitivo can trace its lineage from the ancient Phoenicians who settled in the province of Apulia (Puglia), the heel of Italy’s boot. It is called Primitivo for its propensity to ripen before all other varietals. If made well, Primitivo tends to be juicy, well structured, and concentrated, with aromas and flavours of ripe blackberries, violets and pepper.
