Marqúes De Murrieta

The winemakers from Marqués de Murrieta will host a tasting of their range of wines from Rioja to Rias Baixas at Eton Vintners 31 St Leonard’s Rd, Windsor on Friday the 16th October from 7.15 to 9.15pm.

Marqués de Murrieta is a 160 years-old winery where the deep respect for the history and tradition finds a perfect balance with the focus on the future.

The Ygay estate is located in the south of Rioja Alta and 300 hectares of their own vineyards surround the winery, enjoying a privileged continental climate tempered in the north by the Sierra de Cantabria Mountains. The grape varieties cultivated are five reds : tempranillo, garnacha, mazuelo, graciano and cabernet sauvignon, and the only white: viura.

Pazo de Barrantes Estate is located in the Rias Baixas, Galicia with 12 hectares of vines surrounding the historic property which dates from 1511 and producing ‘the riesling of Spain’, albariño.
