A deep earthy nose and lovely fruitiness with ripeness on the nose. A good balanced wine and a long finish.

Aglianico
Aglianico is regarded as one of the grape varieties that have a great potential waiting to be unlocked. Greek in origin it flourishes in volcanic soil of which there is no shortage around Naples. It is a late ripening grape usually harvested in late October early November and which is probably why it has great complexity when grown and tended with care. Irpinia is the general area round the town of Taurasi and Cretarossa is a single vineyard belonging to the I Favati estate.
