A dark purple red wine reminiscent of German blaufrankisch. Ripe blackberry fruit, white pepper and rosehip flavours leads to a medium-bodied, vibrant palate with subtle oak complementing the natural spice and smoke notes of the grape variety Kefrankos.

More Information
Blaufrankisch
It is known as Blaufrankisch in Austria, Lemberger in Germany, Kékfrankos in Hungary, Frankovka in the Czech Republic, Franconia in Italy, Burgund Mare in Romania, Gamé in Bulgaria… The vague pattern to these names indicate pre-medieval Frankish origins. Really shining when yields are kept low, it can make good quality, structured wines with high levels of acidity and tannin, and zesty red fruit flavours.
