Beaujolais lies just south of it’s big brother Burgundy. Divided by a steam west of Macon these vineyards are mostly on granite and volanic soil producing light and fruity wines from the Gamay grape. In good vintages the Gamay grape can produce a wine of structure and body known as Pinotisé. Some Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes are grown here with a lighter and fruitier style.
Approachable, young drinking wines all at affordable prices.
